Laois start off their Allianz Football League season on Sunday.
Laois Ladies Manager Stephen Duff says that his team will use this year's league campaign as preparation for their Intermediate Championship season later in the year.
The O'Moore County were demoted to the second tier competition after falling to a one point defeat to Kildare, after losing an relegation play-off last season.
However this weekend they will look to put that loss behind them as they start their Allianz Football League Division 3 campaign at home to Carlow on Sunday.
Duff believes it will be an unpredictable league due to the number of new managers just starting their new roles.
Throw in is set for 2pm on Sunday at the Portlaoise Centre of Excellence.
