Carbery Ruled Out Indefinitely After Another Setback

His expected September return to the pitch has been pushed out.

Munster and Ireland outhalf Joey Carbery's suffered another setback in his recovery from an ankle injury.

The province have ruled Carbery out for “an indefinite period of time”.

The 24-year-old first picked up the knock over a year ago in Ireland's World Cup warm-up match against Italy.

He was sidelined with a wrist injury on his return in December but then underwent further surgery on his ankle and his expected September return has now been pushed back.

Meanwhile, Leinster and Munster are gearing up for their behind-closed-doors clash in the Guinness PRO14 this Saturday.

It's the first match for both sides since the season was halted.

The game is being played at the Aviva Stadium without supporters.
