The Offaly man had the honour of hitting the competition's first ever shot.
After hitting the very first tee shot in the inaugural TGL golf season, Shane Lowry secured the match-winning point for The Bay as they thrashed New York 9-2 in the first match of the competition.

Lowry was joined by 2023 US Open champion Wyndham Clark as well as Ludvig Aberg, who earned two points to go top of the SoFi Cup standings.
The Bay raced into a 6-0 lead, before New York, represented by Rickie Fowler, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schaufelle, secured their first point.
Lowry's team proved far too strong, benefitting from some sharp putting by Aberg, to run out 7 point winners.
