Custume Barracks is opening its doors to the public this weekend.
Weapons, aircrafts and equipment will be on display, along with guided tours of the barrack museum and prison, and activities for kids, including bouncy castles and mini-obstacle courses.
It's all taking place between 2 and 5 o'clock this Sunday, 18th September.
Guided walking tours of the barrack museum and prison are due to kick off at 3pm and 4pm. The Barracks' Band 2 Brigade will also be performing throughout the day.
Custume Barracks, Athlone, @6_Inf_Bn & @2BdeArtyRegt will host an open day on 18th Sept 2022 from 2-5pm for the families of all members, with members of the general public also welcome to attend.

The event is forms part of the wider Centenary Commemoration of the handover of the barracks from the British Forces in 1922.
Established in 1691, Custume Barracks is the oldest continuously occupied army barracks in Europe.
Lieutenant Stephen McEvoy, from the 6th Infantry Battalion says all are welcome to drop in this Sunday:
Those wishing to attend should be aware that parking inside the barracks will be limited on the day. Visitors are requested to enter the barrack on foot where possible.
